So Andaman and Nicobar Islands is a group of Indian Islands. And it is located in the Bay of Bengal. It comprises more than 500 islands. Of which only 38 are inhabited. Andamans is a year-round destination. You can go on a trip at any time of the year. But the best months are from Mid-October to Mid-May. Andamans is famous for scuba diving. For scuba diving, the best timings are from Mid-January to Mid-May. Now the question comes, how to reach Andaman and Nicobar Islands? So Andaman and Nicobar Islands has its airport in Port Blair which is also the capital city of Andamans. So we have direct flights from Kolkata, Chennai, Delhi, Vishakapatnam, Bengaluru to reach Port Blair.

Places to visit in Andaman & Nicobar Island

1. Cellular Jail

This is the most famous place in Andaman & Nicobar. The jail originally had seven wings but now only three can be seen standing through the test of time. They now stand a government hospital called Govind Ballabh pant hospital in the place of the demolished rings of the jail. The central tower at the intersection of the seven rings was used by the guards to keep a watch on the jail.

2. Diglipur

Diglipur is the second-largest city after Port Blair. A rental bike is a very good option to visit Diglipur because rental cabs and auto-rickshaws are very expensive in Andaman. 3. Middle Andaman

You can reach Middle Andaman From Dglipur i.e North Andaman. Hence you can visit Dhani Nallah in Rangat first and the mud volcano in Barantang island last. If you are coming from Port Blair i.e South Andaman, it would be another way around. The highlight of this place is the wooden walkway. Which eventually leads to one of the best beaches in Andaman. there are many beaches like Dhani Nallah beach, Morice Dera beach, Aamkunj Beach. Mud Volcano and Limestone Cave are the tourist attraction of Baratang Island. You could only visit Mud Volcano as limestone Caves are closed on Monday.

4. Port Blair

This is a very popular place in Andaman and Nicobar. Port Blair is the capital of Andaman and Nicobar. In Port Blair, you will find many historical things like Cellular Jail, Corbin's Cove, Wandoor, Ross Island, British Colonies, Viper Island.

5. Indira Point

It is named after Indra Gandhi. Indra Point got disassembled due to Tsunami. This place was hit by a tsunami in 2004, due to which many residents of this place lost their lives. The tsunami had caused a lot of damage to this place but now again the road is being built in this place. But this place is so beautiful.

6. Greate Nicobar

Great Nicobar is the southernmost island of Andaman and Nicobar. Mount Thuillier is the highest mountain range here. Many rivers flow here like Aleksandra, Amrit Kaur, Dongmar, and Galatea. There is a Shompen Tribal Group, which is a traditional forest hunter. Tribal department officers have been friendly with these tribals.

7. Barren Island

9. Car Nicobar Island
